Identify a Subject
- Open Identify and choose Plant, Mushroom, or Insect.
- Use the shutter or choose one image from Album.
- Review the best match and alternatives before saving.
If the camera is unavailable, enable Camera for FloraBench in iOS Settings or use Album. Check your internet connection if processing fails. AI results can be wrong and must not be used alone for food, poison, medical, or handling decisions.
Profiles, Care, and Reminders
Add a plant from Shelf or Archive, or save an identification result. A plant page lets you edit its details, record care, read light history, ask a question, share a summary, or remove the plant. Today's care appears on Shelf based on saved next-care dates. Settings controls in-app reminders, reminder time, and measurement units; these are not push notifications.
Light and Voice Tools
Open Bench, choose Light, and select a plant. Camera-based lux is an approximation; if camera access is unavailable, enter a value manually. For voice notes, allow Microphone and Speech Recognition, stop recording, then review the extracted care entry before saving. You can use manual text entry when voice services are unavailable.
Permissions and Troubleshooting
- Review permissions under iOS Settings > Privacy & Security or Settings > FloraBench.
- For a blank or failed AI result, confirm network access and try a clear, well-lit image or shorter question.
- If data appears stale, close and reopen the relevant page or restart the app.
- Keep enough device storage available for saved images.
Sign Out and Delete Data
Sign out clears the session token and returns to the entry screen, but your plants remain on the device and the cloud account stays active. To delete the cloud account and permanently remove local plants, journal entries, images, profile, and settings, connect to the internet and use Bench > Settings > Delete account, accept the warning, type COMPOST, and confirm. This cannot be undone. Uninstalling does not delete the cloud account and is not a request to OpenRouter or another provider to delete information they may retain; email us for other service-data privacy requests.
